| One source of income is the fees that our vendors pay to
set up and offer up their wares to the public. But we are
very sensitive to the challenges of being a vendor and keep
our fees to a bare minimum, far less than we've experienced
as a vendor at many events like this. Our promise to our vendors is that
we will promote our event to draw as many potential
customers as we possibly can. In return, we are selective in
accepting vendors and insist on only artists who turn out
quality products. Visit our Vendors'
Page to see the current list of registered vendors. |
| A second source of income is from our supporting sponsors.
These wonderful businesses and individuals kindly donate
money for nothing more than our expression of appreciation,
and a little publicity. Without our sponsors, we could not
stage Native Rhythms each year. We have a 5-tiered
sponsorship program to recognize our sponsors in proportion
to their level of support. Visit our Sponsors'
Page to see the current list of supporting sponsors. |
| A third source of income is from the sales of event
related products, such as event CDs and T-shirts. |
| Miscellaneous income is derived from on-site activities
such as our silent auction and raffle, and our competitions.
We also put out a "jar" (actually a very large
representation of a flute) into which visitors may
make a direct donation. |
Each year our expenses seem to increase. Over the years, our
arrangements with Brevard County for the use of the park and the
associated power have changed and have added to our event
expenses. The city of Melbourne has imposed new safety and fire
requirements on our event, which increase our costs. And we also
want to improve our program by bringing in more performers, many
from further reaches of the country, which also costs more.
We know there are many flute enthusiasts around the country
who truly appreciate our event and support our objectives. We
thought that perhaps some of our enthusiastic supporters might
like a convenient way to make a personal contribution to help us
meet our financial challenges. So we're opening this page.
